Writer. Presenter and writer for radio and television. Theatre maker.
Arjen Lubach made his debut in 2006 with the novel Mensen die ik ken die mijn moeder hebben gekend (People I Know Who Knew My Mother). His third novel, Magnus, received the Public Award of the prestigious Dioraphte Jongerenliteratuurprijs, a Dutch-language prize for books for 15 years and older.
In 2013 his first thriller, IV, appeared, and was awarded a major Dutch-language prize for best thriller debut. The mid-priced edition appeared in 2014, for which Lubach wrote a new ending. On this he commented: ‘I have no regrets about the old ending, but the new ending has more to do with the current situation in the world and the world of the book.’
Since 2014 he has presented the hugely popular and highly praised satirical talk show Zondag met Lubach (‘Sunday with Lubach’).

The content and writing style are well-balanced. This is possibly IV’s strongest feature: the naturalness of the story.
